We are seeking a compassionate and enthusiastic Registered Practical Nurse to join our organization.
As a Registered Practical Nurse, you will be an integral part of a collaborative and inter-disciplinary team focused on delivering exemplary care to our clients.
Practice as Registered Practical Nurse within the Standards of Nursing Practice as developed by the College of Nursing of Ontario in providing direct and indirect nursing care as required in collaboration with other health care workers.
Duties will include: Performing personal care, including feeding, toileting, dressing and transferring, etc; observing and reporting changes in resident physical and emotional conditions; dealing tactfully and courteously with residents, families and visitors; completing evidence based resident assessments related to responsive behavior including but not limited to, CAM, DOS, GDS, Cohen, Pain, bowel, etc; developing care plans; coaching staff on caring for residents with responsive behavior; work with BSO staff; and engage residents with dementia based programming.
Graduate of an approved Registered Practical Nurse Program
Holder of a current College of Nurses of Ontario certificate in Competency
Demonstrated satisfactory experience as an RPN
Good physical and mental health
Demonstrates strong positive personal and interpersonal communication skills, both verbally and written.
Ability to work as a member of a multi-disciplinary team.
Experience caring for resident with responsive behaviors.
Preference will be given to those with training / certification relating to responsive behaviors, i.e. GPA, PIECES
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, use hands to fingers, handle, and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel and/ or crouch. The employee is occasionally
