Cow-calf operation in Central Alberta
This position entails various responsibilities from livestock handling & welfare, machinery operation, to general farm/ranch duties and maintenance on a cow-calf herd & beef cattle production operation.
The successful candidate will be responsible for tending to the daily needs of the farm/ranch, including feeding and caring for livestock, calving, maintaining fences & buildings, and performing general maintenance tasks. The ideal candidate will have experience with ranch/farm work, a strong work ethic, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Responsibilities:
- Calving cows
- Cattle handling
- Maintaining fences and gates.
- Feeding and watering livestock.
- Monitor livestock health and well-being.
- Operate tractors, ATVs, and other ranch equipment.
- Field Work
- Haying
- General maintenance & upkeep
No horse work involved
Housing Available
Qualifications:
- Work independently and with a team
- 10 years cattle experience
- 10 years machinery experience
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $60,000.00-$84,000.00 per year
