Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Staff Pharmacist to join our team. As a Staff Pharmacist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accurate dispensing of medications and providing excellent pharmaceutical care to our patients.
Duties
- Dispense prescription medications accurately and efficiently
- Provide consultation to patients on proper medication use and potential side effects
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure optimal patient care
- Oversee pharmacy technicians and support staff
- Maintain accurate patient records and medication inventory
- Ensure compliance with all pharmacy laws and regulations
Skills
Required:
- Active pharmacist license in British Columbia
- Strong knowledge of pharmaceuticals, drug interactions, and side effects
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Attention to detail and accuracy in dispensing medications
Nice-to-have:
- Experience with pharmacy management systems
- Immunization certification
- Prior experience in a retail or clinical pharmacy setting
Job Types: Part-time, Permanent, Casual, Freelance
Pay: $45.00-$55.00 per hour
Expected hours: 16 – 24 per week
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed
Experience:
- Medication administration: 1 year (preferred)
- Acute care: 1 year (preferred)
- Patient care: 1 year (preferred)
- Medical terminology: 1 year (preferred)
