Appointment Details

The base salary range for Contract Lectures hired August 16, 2026 through August 15, 2027 is $79,644.07 to $101,855.82 per annum. Salary will be commensurate with qualifications. Contract amounts are calculated based on the number of semester hours in the appointment.

DG8012 MRP In Digital Media

Class Size: 30-60 students

Co-Teaching Load: 1.5 hours

Description:

This course focuses on the execution of research for the major research project (MRP). Research methods, including creative, practice based research, will be reinforced and executed with the guidance of a supervisor. This course encompasses strategic milestones throughout, concluding with a formal presentation and a comprehensive written major research paper (and project if applicable).

Prerequisite: DG8011.

By the end of this course, students should be able to:

¿ Present a progress report on a research project or applied project.

¿ Draft a final report on their major research project or paper.

¿ Properly define a problem and propose creative solutions.

¿ Communicate insights from learning experiences in oral and written form.

Time: Tuesdays from 5-8pm - This course time is not movable

Currency
Academic publications (refereed) in the past 5 years.
Academic publications more than 5 years ago or current (less than 5 years) professional profile (including professional or academic presentations).
Other demonstrated professional currency (practitioner writing, courses taken).
