AZ Driver - Shuttle / UPS Cross-Border

Compensation: $26.25/hour for shuttle work + $200 per completed UPS trip
Position Overview
CPC Logistics is seeking an experienced AZ Driver to join our dedicated transportation operation supporting both scheduled shuttle work and cross-border UPS deliveries into the Buffalo, NY area.
This is a Monday to Friday position that combines daytime shuttle work with an afternoon/evening UPS delivery. Shuttle assignments may originate from Guelph, Woodbridge or other designated customer locations and are primarily pin-to-pin moves.
The driver will normally complete one UPS trip per day, with the potential for a second UPS load during peak periods or when operational volume requires.
Key Responsibilities

Perform scheduled shuttle work between CPC/customer locations in Ontario.

Safely operate tractor-trailer equipment in accordance with company and customer requirements.

Complete one or more UPS Air or UPS Ground cross-border deliveries as assigned.

Cross the Canada/United States border and complete required customs and transportation documentation.

Safely unload freight at UPS delivery locations.

Use pump trucks and other available material-handling equipment as required at delivery locations.

Secure and inspect freight and equipment before, during and after each trip.

Complete required electronic logs, trip documentation and border records.

Follow all applicable Hours of Service, DOT, MTO and company safety requirements.

Maintain professional communication with customers, dispatchers, border personnel and other CPC employees.

Report equipment defects, delays, incidents and other operational issues promptly.

Maintain a clean and professional appearance while representing CPC Logistics at customer locations.

Perform other transportation and yard duties as assigned.
Physical Requirements
This is a physically active driving position. Specific lifting and material-handling requirements will be reviewed as part of the position's job demands and safety assessment.
The successful candidate must be able to:

Safely enter and exit a tractor and trailer.

Perform trailer inspections and routine equipment checks.

Load, unload, push, pull, carry and position freight as required.

Perform repetitive manual material handling during UPS deliveries.

Work safely around trailers, docks, loading areas and material-handling equipment.

Safely handle freight using proper lifting, pushing, pulling and team-handling techniques.

Perform the physical requirements of the position in accordance with CPC Logistics' safe work procedures and applicable workplace health and safety requirements.
Required Qualifications

Valid Ontario AZ driver's license.

Minimum 2 years of commercial tractor-trailer driving experience.

Acceptable driver's abstract and commercial driving record.

Legally eligible to enter the United States for commercial transportation purposes.

Ability to successfully complete required US commercial driver drug and alcohol testing.

Ability to meet applicable US DOT/FMCSA requirements for cross-border commercial driving.

Ability to comply with Ontario and US Hours of Service requirements.

Ability to work Monday to Friday with afternoon/evening delivery requirements.

Reliable attendance and punctuality.

Strong safety record and commitment to safe driving practices.

Ability to work independently and manage changing operational requirements.

Ability to communicate effectively with dispatch, customers and border personnel.
Preferred Qualifications

FAST card.
-
Previous Canada/US cross-border driving experience.

Previous UPS delivery experience.

Experience with PAPS, PARS, ACE, ACI or similar customs processes.

Experience with electronic logging and fleet technology.

Experience with Samsara, TruckMate or similar transportation systems.

Previous dedicated fleet or shuttle experience.
Compensation
$26.25/hour for assigned shuttle work.

$200 trip payment for each completed UPS trip.

One UPS trip is normally expected per day.
-
A second UPS trip may be assigned during peak periods based on customer volume and operational requirements.

Applicable overtime and other compensation will be administered in accordance with applicable employment standards and company policy.
Schedule
The typical workday begins at approximately 9:00 AM and extends into the evening.
The driver will generally perform shuttle work during the first portion of the shift before reporting to the Grimsby terminal/home location for the scheduled UPS departure.
UPS departures are generally planned for approximately 5:00 PM, with the driver returning to the terminal/home location after completing the assigned UPS run.
Operational requirements, border conditions, customer volume and peak-season activity may result in longer workdays and/or a second UPS assignment.
