We are currently seeking a Supply Planning Manager to join our team of skilled professionals based at our Brampton location.
The Supply Planning Manager position is responsible for coordinating all activities related to what needs to manufactured or sourced (Finished Goods) in order to build a solid supply plan.
The Supply Planning Manager creates and maintains supply models for the company, incorporating the demand plan, the product plan (NPI), inventory plan, capacity, and business intelligence.
The Supply Planning Manager is responsible for Supply modeling and is the key integration point between manufacturing and the Demand Manager/ Sales. The position is responsible for balancing supply and demand and meeting customer and business expectations related to on-time goals.
The Supply Planning Manager is the process owner for Supply and manages/leads the Supply Review process and development of the master production schedule with input from counterparts in Manufacturing, Demand Management, Product Management and Raw Material Management.
Supervision of Supply Planners.
Develop and coach team on industry best practices.
The Supply Planning Manager reports to the Director of Supply Chain.
Coordinate efforts with partners throughout the supply chain to achieve inventory plans while meeting on-time performance.
Lead the Supply Review Process and build the Supply Plan that feeds the executive S&OP Process.
Determine finished good factory capacity and work with internal partners to secure and manage capacity.
Work with internal and external business partners to ensure best practices are observed according to the supply chain excellence
Analyze inventory trends and make suggestions to prioritize, expedite or push out manufacturing orders or purchase orders
Proactively partner with production and demand management to report product and material availability issues.
Develop, Monitor, measure, and report on team KPI’s
Provide ad-hoc decision support and business analysis.
Lead and/or support supply chain improvement projects and execute supply chain policies/strategies set by senior leadership
Support customer demand changes by working with internal partners in the change management process.
Minimum Job Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Operations, Supply Chain or related field required and preferably a MBA or a Master’s in a relevant field.
5+ years of work experience in a demand management, capacity, and/or supply planning environment.
5+ years direct experience with S&OP or IBP
Experience with MRP, large scale ERP, or planning systems.
Highly proficient with MS Office, especially MS Excel and data visualization tools.
Must have an excellent understanding of the upstream and downstream supply chain process.
Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.
Ability to work cooperatively across multiple functions.
Comfortable with team-based work structure; ability to demonstrate flexibility on the job.
Demonstrates initiative, is conscientious and provides complete follow-through on areas of responsibility.
Very strong analytical, organizational, decision making and presentation skill.
Certificates - APICS or other forecasting/Supply Chain Certification preferred.
Lean Six Sigma (Green Belt, Black Belt) an asset.
