Job Description:
The successful candidate will be responsible for dispensing prescription medications, counselling patients, conducting care plans, checking compounds, and running the day-to-day operations of the pharmacy. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, be highly organized, and have a passion for building relationships with patients. The knowledge of Kroll software is an asset.
Responsibilities:
- Dispensing prescription medications accurately and efficiently
- Conducting care plans and medication reviews to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Counselling patients on medication use, potential side effects, and interactions
- Checking compounds and ensuring that they meet quality standards
- Running the day-to-day operations of the pharmacy, including inventory management, cash management, and customer service
- Maintaining accurate patient records and ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and regulations
- Collaborating with other healthcare professionals, including physicians, nurses, and allied health professionals,
to ensure coordinated patient care
Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy (B.Sc.Pharm.) or equivalent degree
- Licensed by the Alberta College of Pharmacists to practice pharmacy
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
- Knowledge of Kroll software is an asset
