JOB DUTIES: The duties and responsibilities of CellularTelecommunication Technician are:

Assemble and run standard test equipment to diagnose, test and analyze the performance of electrical and electronic components, assemblies and systems
Write specifications, schedules and technical reports and control schedules and budgets
Assisting in Designing, developing and testing of electrical and electronic components, equipment, and systems
Install, remove, maintain and repair aerial cellular telephone/radio equipment and other telecommunication equipment’s and associated hardware
Inspecting, testing, adjusting and evaluation of incoming electrical, electro-mechanical and electronic components and assemblies to ensure conformance with product specifications and tolerances
Conduct life tests on assemblies and record and analyze results
Assist in building and testing prototypes to specifications
Install, operate and maintain electrical and electronic equipment and systems
Calibrate electrical or electronic equipment and instruments according to technical manuals and written instructions
Supervise the building and testing of prototypes according to general instructions and established standards
Connectorizing and testing of All Types of Cabling; Coax, Fibre, power, Switch board, DC Power, Rectifiers/ Power Bays, Battery back-up systems, Generators, Installation of Fibre Optical Terminals including, Running lines, Mechanical connectors, Fusion splicing, Testing, BIX Terminations, Overhead Cable Tray Supports, Auxiliary Rack/ Seismic Rack installs, Grounding Systems, Dehydrators, Bench Testing, Install.
Climb and work aloft on poles, ladders or other support structures
Collect and compile operational or experimental data and assist in the preparation of estimates, schedules, budgets, specifications and reports
Assist in the erection and removal of cellular telecommunication poles, towers and associated support structures
Conduct or supervise the installation, commissioning, and operation of electrical and electronic equipment and systems other than aircraft electronics or instruments
May operate excavation machinery and other heavy equipment
Experience working as a Technician in the Wireless industry (Education & Training Certificates valued)
Radio Base Station and Central Office Installation

WORK LOCATION: #112 12025 Nordel Way, Surrey BC V3W1W1 and various locations of Lower Mainland and Fraser Valley.
