The Role
The Hardware Project Engineer is responsible for working with customers to design site-specific aspects of the Attabotics system, including mechanical and electrical infrastructures (system sizing and electrical requirements).
Who you are
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electro-mechanical, or similar field)
5+ years in similar roles
Experience working with robotic systems, and/or complex electro-mechanical systems
P.Eng considered an asset (EITs on path to P.Eng will be considered)
Mechanical design knowledge of structures
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
What we need
Work with customers to scope solution requirements and develop System Design Specifications prior to the installation
Complete system design and develop the site-specific project/manufacturing level Bill of Materials (BOM)
Manage external contractors as related to system design, installation, and commissioning by Attabotics personnel
Ensure IT networking and security complies with client and Attabotics security protocols
Work with software team to ensure client WMS communication is set up and configured correctly
Work with customers and third parties to obtain necessary permits as required by local jurisdictions
Interface with engineering teams to ensure that system requirements are aligned with the current releases
Interface with construction and field teams during installation and commissioning to ensure that the appropriate support level is available
Interface with the test team to ensure that all equipment and SW releases are tested prior to shipping and installation
Specify and manage all risks associated with system installation, and provide risk mitigation strategies
Work with project managers closely to ensure above requirements, including scheduling, personnel, and component availability on site
Manage and execute special projects
Support Sales and Application Engineering in RFQ/RFP or other inquiries
