Lightfoot & Wolfville is seeking a motivated and reliable Warehouse & Packaging Assistant to join our team. This hands-on role supports the daily operations of our winery and warehouse, helping ensure our wines are packaged, labelled, stored, and prepared for sale to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with wine packaging operations, including bottling, labelling, and case packing
- Apply labels and packaging materials to finished products
- Prepare orders and organize finished goods inventory
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of production and warehouse areas
- Assist with equipment cleaning and general cellar and warehouse support
- Support shipping, receiving, and inventory organization
- Follow all quality assurance and workplace safety procedures
- Perform other production and warehouse duties as required
Qualifications
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Ability to perform repetitive tasks accurately and efficiently
- Comfortable working on your feet and lifting up to 25 kg (55 lbs)
- Positive attitude and willingness to work as part of a team
- Forklift experience is considered a strong asset but not required
- Previous experience in manufacturing, food and beverage production, warehousing, or agriculture is considered an asset
- Must be willing and able to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE), including CSA-approved steel-toed footwear
Position Details
This is a full-time contract position based at our production and warehouse facility in Canning, Nova Scotia. The initial term is expected to run through the busy production season, with the possibility of extension for the right candidate based on business needs and performance.
Wage range: $17.50–$22/hour based on experience and qualifications
