Pourquoi ce role est-il important?
This role is responsible for working closely with the Director of Control Brand Sourcing in the successful execution of sourcing strategies that will reduce cost, maximize sales and profitability of our Control Brand products while supporting LBL execution of initiatives. This key role is responsible for identifying any and all initiatives that will reduce cost.
What You'll Do:
Work with Category and Product Manager to prepare detailed analysis and reporting to ensure that control brand sourcing delivers anticipated financial benefits
Negotiate costing with suppliers to meet financial targets
Develop strong working relationships with Category, Supply Chain, LBL Product Development teams, while ensuring effective collaboration and representation of recommendations brought forward
Work with LBL Product team to determine the appropriate categories to execute RFP / RFQ / RFI resulting with a formal presentation to the business supported with options and recommendations
Define buying timelines and communicate with Supply Chain, Category and LBL Product Teams
Assist in communicating forecasts developed by Category Teams to new and existing suppliers
Works closely with Category and LBL Product teams to identify market trends and brings forward opportunities for cost effective products, supplier relationships and sourcing opportunities.
Support Director of Control Brand Sourcing in the execution of effective control brand sourcing strategies, projects and initiatives as required
Overall Supplier management, ensuring thorough understanding / communication of control brand standards and guardrails for existing, new and prospective suppliers
Support LBL Product Development and Category Teams to address vendor compliance issues pertaining to supply and contractual obligations.
Continually review our vendor landscape including identifying gaps in vendors for driving innovation, alternative sources of supply, and back up sources of supply
Work collaboratively with internal partners to ensure integration, planning and optimization of control brand product sourcing and flow
What You'll Need:
Post-secondary education with a background in retail, merchandising, buying
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in Retail/Merchandising/Buying
Advanced Microsoft Office skills, specifically in Excel.
Strong financial acumen
Strong negotiation skills
Exceptional interpersonal, communication (written and verbal), problem solving skills, & influencing skills
Capable of working in a fast paced environment and managing challenging situations
Strategic thinker with the ability to develop strategies to achieve organizational goals
Identifies opportunities; adapts strategy to changing conditions
Customer focused and able to nurture positive customer relationships
Highly organized and has a high degree of attention to detail
Must be able to work independently
Naturally proactive with a high degree of self-discipline, drive and organizational skills
Highly collaborative with the ability work with and foster great working relationships with various teams within the Company
