Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and motivated Kitchen Assistant to join our team. This role is essential in supporting the daily operations of our kitchen, ensuring smooth meal preparation and food service. Responsibilities
- Assist with meal preparation and food handling to support chefs and kitchen staff
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen workstations and utensils
- Support food safety protocols by following proper hygiene practices
- Help with serving meals to guests or customers in a timely manner
- Prepare ingredients as needed for cooking or plating dishes
- Ensure all kitchen equipment is properly cleaned and maintained
- Follow health and safety guidelines to ensure a safe working environment
- Support inventory management by assisting with stock rotation and storage
Experience
- Previous experience in a restaurant, food service, or hospitality setting is preferred but not required
- Familiarity with basic cooking techniques and food preparation processes is advantageous
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper handling procedures is a plus
- Experience working in fast-paced environments demonstrating strong organizational skills is beneficial
- Willingness to learn new skills related to meal preparation, serving, and kitchen operations
