Workforce Inc. is seeking an experienced Sample Preparation Technician to assist our client in Kirkland Lake, ON. The Laboratory processes Mine Production and Exploration samples for grade control providing vital information in a timely method to assist in key decision making relating to mining/geology activity and reconciling samples entering and exiting the Mill Process.

Responsibilities:
- Log and maintain records of all sample materials and reference standards
- Weigh, measure, mix, crush, and pulverize ore samples to lab specifications (-10 mesh)
- Ensure full adherence to chain-of-custody procedures
- Perform daily equipment checks and basic maintenance
- Maintain Quality Assurance (QA) standards in all work
- Keep lab space clean and organized; ensure safe work practices (Housekeeping)
- Prioritize and complete tasks efficiently, in line with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
- Accurately document activities in systems such as SAP and lab job cards
Requirements:
- 2 years of lab or fire assay experience is considered an asset
- Education in a related field (certificate, diploma, or degree) is an asset
- Detail-oriented with strong written and verbal communication
- Comfortable with repetitive sample prep tasks requiring consistency and care
- Strong math, computer, and documentation skills
- Willing and able to work physically: lifting to 20kg, bending, climbing stairs
Schedule: 7 on / 7 off (12 hour shifts ) 6am to 6pm on days or 6pm to 6am on nights
Pay Rate: $32.28 per hour
