Fed is a personalized nutrition company in Vancouver. We are looking for an ambitious, detail oriented kitchen assistant to join our team and help us create nutritious meals. We are seeking an individual who is self-motivated and has both passion and creativity for food. At Fed we take pride in the highest quality of standards in food preparation and ingredients. Responsibilities:
-Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen work areas, including countertops, cooking equipment, and storage areas.
-Measure prepared food, and enter weights into our software
-Measure food waste
-Assist in basic food preparation tasks, such as washing and chopping vegetables, portioning ingredients, sauces and dressings.
-Assist in the organization of ingredients in the cooler
-Follow food safety and sanitation procedures at all times
-Stock and replenish kitchen inventory, including food items, cooking utensils, and cleaning supplies.
-Sweeping and mopping all kitchen areas during shifts and at the end of shifts.
-When needed: washing dishes, cutting boards, utensils, and cooking equipment
What You’ll Need to Succeed:
-Previous experience in a kitchen environment is preferred but not required. Training will be provided.
-Excellent organization skills, reliable and hardworking
-Capacity to multitask to meet multiple demands and instructions
-Ability to self-motivate and problem solve in a fast paced setting
-Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining cleanliness and organization in the kitchen.
-Comfortable with computers
-Comfortable working in cold environment (2-4 degrees)
-Physical stamina and dexterity to stand for long periods, lift heavy objects, and perform repetitive tasks.
