Duties
- Wash dishes, utensils, cookware, and kitchen equipment promptly to ensure availability for meal preparation and service
- Maintain cleanliness of all kitchen areas, including floors, counters, sinks, and storage spaces
- Assist with food handling tasks such as organizing ingredients and supplies to support meal preparation
- Support chefs and kitchen staff with basic food prep tasks when needed, including chopping vegetables or assembling ingredients
- Follow food safety protocols diligently to uphold hygiene standards and prevent contamination
- Dispose of waste properly and ensure recycling procedures are followed to maintain a tidy workspace
- Help with restocking supplies and organizing storage areas to promote an efficient kitchen flow
Requirements
- Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment is preferred but not mandatory; enthusiasm to learn is key!
- Basic understanding of food handling safety practices and sanitation standards
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physically demanding tasks with energy and focus
- Strong attention to detail to ensure cleanliness and organization at all times
- Good communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
- Willingness to assist with meal preparation and other kitchen duties as needed
