Rivercity Inclusion Society is a non-profit organization whose purpose is to advocate and provide services for people with developmental needs, and their families, who live in the Campbell River area. Our Dogwood Place Child & Youth Development Centre offers a family-centered approach to children and youth who need extra support.
Community Access Services is designed to cater to the leisure and recreational needs of children and youth, twelve to eighteen years of age. Activities are selected to help teach life skills and social competency in a relaxed and enjoyable setting after school, three hours a week. The Activity Worker works as part of a team and plans, organizes, implements, and leads community-based recreational and social activities to meet the needs of youth in the program.
This temporary schedule will be Wednesdays 3:00 - 6:00PM
Qualifications
- Human Services certificate, recreation course or equivalent.
- Minimum six months’ experience working with youth with developmental disabilities.
- Basic computer skills.
- Valid BC Driver's License
- First Aid and CPR
- Negative TB test results
- Criminal Record Check
- Food Safe Certification

Pay: $24.97 per hour
