Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Bartender/Supervisor to join our hospitality team. The ideal candidate will possess strong customer service skills, excellent knowledge of food and beverage service, and the ability to oversee bar operations efficiently. This role involves preparing and serving drinks, supervising staff, ensuring food safety standards, and creating a welcoming environment for guests. A background in restaurant or food industry operations, along with proficiency in POS systems such as Micros POS, is essential for success in this position.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages in accordance with company standards.
- Oversee daily bar operations, ensuring smooth service during shifts.
- Supervise and support bartenders and bar staff, providing training and guidance as needed.
- Manage cash handling, cashiering, and POS transactions accurately using Micros POS or similar systems.
- Ensure compliance with food safety and food handling regulations to maintain a clean and safe environment.
- Deliver exceptional customer service by engaging with guests professionally and courteously.
- Monitor inventory levels, restocking supplies as necessary to prevent shortages.
- Maintain cleanliness of the bar area, adhering to health regulations and company policies.
- Assist in resolving customer complaints promptly to ensure guest satisfaction.
- Support the team in serving food and beverages efficiently during busy periods.
Requirements
- Proven experience in restaurant or food service industry, preferably with supervisory responsibilities.
- Strong knowledge of POS systems such as Micros POS.
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, professional demeanor.
- Ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic math skills for cash handling, cashiering, and inventory management.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures.
- Previous experience serving alcohol responsibly is preferred.
- Strong leadership qualities with the ability to supervise staff effectively.
