Overview
We are seeking a skilled Junior Architectural Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist in the creation of architectural plans and drawings, contributing to the overall success of our projects.
Responsibilities
- Working closely with boss design clients to produce schematic design, design development, and working drawings on a variety of project types and sizes
- Analyzing building codes, by-laws, space requirements, site requirements and other technical documents and reports
- Coordinating with clients for revisions and providing them with solutions as per request
- Liaising with the builders, contractors, and third-party companies in regard to projects
- Ensuring working drawing packages are complete and accurate
- Working collaboratively with Boss Design Ltd. staff on projects and solving problems
- Working collaboratively with Boss Design Ltd. staff to improve processes and overall functionality of the team
- Attending meetings with new and active clients while going through the design phase
- Providing clients with suitable design recommendations based on factors such as budget, the building site, and recent trends
- Converting design documentation into working drawings
- Creating 3D models and /or renderings to assist in design presentations
Experience Required:
- College degree in Architectural Technology from a renowned institution.
- At least 2 years of experience in residential housing design and drafting.
- Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong time management, organization, and planning skills.
- Keen attention to detail.
- Knowledge of architectural design principles.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
