We are seeking an experienced CNC Programmer with a strong background in cabinet, millwork, or woodworking manufacturing. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating, modifying, and optimizing CNC programs used to manufacture custom cabinetry and millwork components.
The ideal candidate must have demonstrated proficiency with AutoCAD and WoodWOP (Version 4.5 or higher) and be comfortable interpreting detailed shop drawings. Experience with HOMAG CNC machinery is strongly preferred.
- Create, modify, and optimize CNC programs for cabinet and millwork production.
- Program CNC woodworking machinery using WoodWOP 4.5 or higher.
- Use AutoCAD to review and prepare drawings for CNC production.
- Read and interpret shop drawings, architectural drawings, specifications, and production documents.
- Develop machining programs for cutting, drilling, routing, grooving, and other woodworking operations.
- Set appropriate tooling, machining sequences, feeds, speeds, and parameters.
- Optimize programs and nesting to improve material utilization and reduce waste.
- Perform program checks and test runs before full production.
- Troubleshoot CNC programming and machining issues.
- Make programming adjustments based on production requirements and design revisions.
- Verify dimensions, tolerances, and finished-component quality.
- Work closely with designers, engineers, production supervisors, and CNC operators.
- Maintain accurate CNC files, revisions, and production documentation.
- Support continuous improvement of CNC programming and manufacturing processes.
- Follow all company quality and workplace safety procedures.
- Proven CNC programming experience in woodworking, cabinetry, or millwork manufacturing – required.
- Demonstrated proficiency with WoodWOP Version 4.5 or higher – required.
- Strong working knowledge of AutoCAD – required.
- Ability to accurately read and interpret shop drawings – required.
- Strong understanding of cabinet and millwork manufacturing processes.
- Knowledge of CNC tooling, machining operations, feeds, speeds, and material characteristics.
- Experience working with materials such as MDF, plywood, melamine, laminate, and hardwood.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and meet production deadlines.
- HOMAG CNC machine experience is strongly preferred.
- Experience in custom cabinet or architectural millwork manufacturing.
- Knowledge of CNC nesting and material optimization.
- Experience programming complex or custom woodworking components.
