Located in beautiful South Simcoe County CLASS is just 50 minutes north of Toronto and less than a half hour from the heart of cottage country; an ideal site close to summer and winter recreation and just 40 minutes from Blue Mountain, Snow Valley and the ski hills of Mansfield. CLASS supports in Alliston, Everett, Essa, Cookstown, Bradford, Innisfil and Tottenham.
Position Requirements:
- Developmental Service Worker Diploma or equivalent two-year Diploma in Human Services (as determined by the Employer)
- Valid Ontario Driver’s License, acceptable driver’s abstract, adequate insurance coverage and ability to travel to various work sites within the service delivery area;
- Three years experience working with people who have developmental disabilities;
- First Aid, CPR, NVCI, Medication In-Service and Health & Safety training an asset;
- Sound working knowledge of the SIPDDA, the Person Directed Planning Philosophy and the Serious Occurrence Reporting Procedures;
- Proficient use of Microsoft Word, Excel and ShareVision. Experience utilizing a scheduling database an asset;
- Positive interpersonal skills with excellent critical thinking skills, the ability to interact diplomatically, and tactfully; and
- Takes all reasonable care to comply with the Occupational Health & Safety Act and its regulations.
\*This is a casual position of roughly 50 hours per month, with the opportunity to work more hours as per service delivery and scheduling needs. This position will be based out of the incumbent’s home office but will require frequent travel to other locations within the service delivery area.
