The Industrial Combustion Service Technician is responsible for routine maintenance, emergency breakdown service, start up, and commissioning of combustion process equipment and boiler controls systems in manufacturing and industrial plants.The position will be on a full-time basis.
Responsibilities (include, but are not limited to the following)
- Routine maintenance of combustion systems, controls and instrumentation.
- Troubleshooting and repairing combustion systems including, burner management systems, fuel delivery systems, combustion air systems, electrical/control systems.
- Diagnosing burner/appliance technical issues and working with solutions groups to solve problems.
- Construction of and installations of new combustion systems and appliances.
- Providing detailed service reports
Qualifications & Experience
- G1, G2 or G2, license from TSSA required
- Proven ability to develop an understanding of the entire combustion/boiler processes and applies knowledge in performing system diagnosis, start up and commissioning
- Proven clean driving record is required
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to effectively troubleshoot industrial control systems
- Strong oral and written communication skills in English with the ability to effectively present to clients and management team.
- Able to work under minimal supervision
- Effective time management skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines
- Able to work on-call and overtime hours as required
