About This Opportunity

Pictou County Family Medicine is seeking family medicine physicians to join their collaborative teams that include a nurse practitioner, family practice nurse, and a pharmacist. Pictou County has established collaborative care practices including the East Side Health Centre, West Side Health Centre, Pictou West Health Centre, the Westville Medical Clinic, and traditional family medicine practices in Stellarton, New Glasgow, and Pictou. There is also the unique opportunity to partner with the Pictou Landing First Nation Health Centre to help address the healthcare needs of our First Nations community. These collaborative practices utilize an electronic medical record (EMR) and are well supported by hospital staff and services. In addition to a menu of services offered from their main office in New Glasgow, the clinic provides a Diabetic Education Clinic on site in Pictou two days a week. Physicians can also refer patients to the One Door Chronic Disease Management Centre.

Qualifications
all applicants must be eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Nova Scotia (CPSNS)
all family physicians must be eligible for certification with the College of Family Physicians of Canada (CFPC)
membership with the Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA)
