Drake Excavating (2016) Ltd. specializes in excavation and civil construction solutions throughout the Lower Mainland. We tackle a wide range of projects, from roadwork development to utility installations. We are continually growing, pursuing niche projects with a mix of both civil and mechanical construction work.
We are seeking a highly organized and motivated Project Coordinator to join our team. This role is critical in ensuring the smooth operation of our administrative and project coordination tasks. The Project Coordinator will report directly to our team of Project Managers and assist them in their day to day administrative tasks.
The right person for this role will have experience in the Civil Construction industry.
Key Responsibilities Include:
Administrative Duties:
- Order office supplies and manage inventory.
- Book accommodations for team members and projects.
- Manage fleet and equipment insurance.
- Disperse and file all incoming paperwork accordingly.
Project Coordination:
- Assist with contract documentation, submittals, RFIs, and progress claims.
- Request, prepare, and submit contract documents.
- Track and submit submittals and RFIs.
- Create and send purchase orders.
- Prepare progress claim sheets.
- Ensure all BC1Calls are up to date.
- Perform any other tasks requested by the Project Manager.
Estimating Support:
- Manage and coordinate all aspects of the tender submission process.
- Download tenders, addenda, and browse for mandatory meetings and other requirements.
- Ensure timely submission of online/email tenders and prepare documents for drop-off tenders.
- Prepare and submit all pre-qualifications.
Skills Required:
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office software, especially Excel.
- Experience with project coordination and administrative tasks.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with project management and estimating software is an advantage.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $28.00-$35.00 per hour
