Job Overview
In this role, you will primarily be responsible for identifying and evaluating grant applications through the intake period and liaising with Tourism Board Members and Grant Applicants. The successful candidate must possess an in-depth knowledge of document administration, agreement development and execution, have strong organizational skills, and excellent communication skills.
Responsibilities & Duties
- Receive and review applications to the program. Including ensuring applications are complete and eligible to advancement, requesting missing documentation, responding to enquiries from applicants and board members and recording application information in databases.
- Develop and circulate summary of grant requests for the intake period with all board members and respond to enquiries from the Board regarding application specific questions.
- Correspond with applicants to advise them of application status and coordinate follow up.
- Where applicable, develop and execute agreement contracts for successful applicants and receive relevant submissions through that process.
- Coordinate and maintain cumulative database of grant awards and track status of grants through the agreement lifecycle, including receipt of final reports.
- Where required, respond to general email and website inquiries providing efficient, effective and accurate information regarding the corporation and grant program.
- Where required, assist in the development of meeting materials including, but not limited to minutes, grant status updates, resolutions, reports.
- Where required assist in regular government filings for the corporation, including, but not limited to, annual returns, corporation board changes, etc.
- Where required assist in the publication and dissemination of policy.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
- High attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) as well as Google Drive and Forms.
- Proficient in online meeting tools and software.
- Previous experience working with not-for-profit or similar organizational structures. Working understanding of Robert’s Rules of Order or other parliamentary meeting structures is an asset, but not required.
Pay: $20.00-$25.00 per hour
