Position: Social Media Specialist – Etalk
Location: 299 Queen St W. Toronto
Salary: Commensurate with qualifications and experience
Hours of Work: 40 hours per week. Overtime as required.
Developing social media strategies to promote various Etalk initiatives and campaigns
Support the editorial team by relaying trending topics, story ideas and viewer queries and suggestions
Organize and execute brand partnership initiatives on various social media platforms
Use insights and use analytics to build and grow Etalk’s social media presence
Lead Etalk social media events and coverage throughout the year
Clear photos and video assets when needed
Other duties as assigned by Executive Producers and management teams
Advanced knowledge of social media - Instagram, TikTok, Youtube, Twitter, Facebook and other emerging platforms
Passion for all things pop culture and entertainment, including television, music and film
Up to date on the latest current affairs and how it impacts the entertainment world
Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines of several simultaneous duties while maintaining focus and composure
Excellent communication skills – oral and written
Experience using Photoshop
Digital photography experience an asset
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Must be able to work on a tight deadline in fast-paced environment
Degree/Diploma in Television Broadcasting, Journalism, Design, Digital or equivalent experience
Please note the successful candidate will be required to work full time from the Toronto newsroom
Bilingualism is an asset (English and French); adequate knowledge of French is required for positions in Quebec.
