Position: Automotive Painter and Body Refinisher | Location: Milton, ON (401 & James Snow Parkway)

Duties: Prepare and paint transit and coach buses, small parts, and metal and fiberglass surfaces for paint applications and applies primer / paint to buses. Throughout all aspects of this role, you will promote a safe working environment and comply with all HS&E regulations including following all Plant Safety rules
Responsibilities:
- Painting coaches, small parts, touch ups, spot spraying, paint preparation, body repair work, interior work, buffing, decaling, sanding and masking
- Using various hand, air and power tools such as orbital sanders, air buffers, paint guns and measuring instruments
- Following all work instructions and paint charts as required.
- Apply coatings to composite components using various spray methods
- Maintain paint spray tools including the spray facility
- Mix and spray coatings
- Mask appropriate areas as required
- Inspect components during processing stages
- Follow work instructions and quality control processes
- Use body repair materials and methods for composite components
- Maintain a clean workspace and tools
- Perform work as outlined on work order with efficiency and on time delivery
- Any other duties as assigned
Job Requirements:
· 2-5 years related experience in automotive/truck/bus finishing and repair
· Ability to read and understand work instructions
· Experience working with solvents and pre-treatment chemicals an asset, post-secondary training with experience interpreting paint charts
· Be able to work with fiberglass
· Familiar with paint shop environments,
· Knowledge of paint mixing chemicals,
· Ability to read MSDS sheet,
· Ability to wear personal protective equipment as required
· Comfortable working in a dynamic team environment and providing positive feedback
· An understanding of composite component construction is an asset

- Shifts are Monday to Friday from 6:30 AM – 3:30 PM - no nights or weekends!!!!
