Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Operator/Labourer to join our team. This role involves operating various types of heavy machinery, including dozers, excavators, loaders, and rock trucks. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical knowledge and experience with heavy equipment operation.
Responsibilities
- Operate heavy machinery such as dozers, excavators, loaders and rock trucks.
- Assist with site setup and cleanup to ensure safety and efficiency on the job site.
- Conduct routine inspections and basic maintenance of equipment to ensure proper functioning.
- Follow all safety protocols and communicate effectively with team members to maintain a safe working environment.
- Utilize mechanical knowledge for troubleshooting equipment issues and performing minor repairs when necessary.
Qualifications
- Proven experience operating heavy equipment such as dozers, excavators, loaders, and rock truck
- Mechanical knowledge related to heavy construction equipment maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Valid driver's licence and use of pick up truck to haul fuel to the machines.
- job site is at Ogoki camp located 125 km north of Nakina, ON
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and lift heavy loads when required.
- Prior experience in with bulldozer and excavator is highly desirable. This position offers a dynamic work environment where safety, skill development, and teamwork are prioritized. The successful candidate will play a vital role .
Pay: $24.00-$34.00 per hour
