Looking for a new and exciting job opportunity? We are looking for a Senior Project Engineer to join our team!
- Lead the development and preparation of project-related plans (e.g., work plans) for capital program initiatives
- Coordinate, control, monitor, and supervise multi-year, multi-disciplinary projects from inception to close-out
- Manage all project phases including scope definition, planning, design, procurement, construction, commissioning, and handover
- Ensure projects are delivered in alignment with scope, schedule, budget, and quality standards
- Oversee multiple projects concurrently, each potentially involving numerous design and construction contracts
- Coordinate and integrate various project components to ensure seamless delivery
- Administer projects in detail, ensuring contract and project files are complete, accurate, and up to date
- Maintain documentation in accordance with established departmental filing systems and standards
- Support and demonstrate a commitment to diversity, inclusion, and a respectful workplace free from discrimination and harassment
- Identify and help remove barriers while supporting accessibility and accommodation in line with OHRC, AODA, and organizational policies
- Participate in the TTC Customer Service Ambassador Program and promote a customer-focused service culture

- Apply the principles and practices of quality assurance
- University degree in a relevant engineering discipline, or in Architecture, combined with extensive experience in the areas of projects/construction and engineering management of heavy construction and/or large multi-disciplined projects.
- Registration as a Professional Engineer in the Province of Ontario or licensed under the Ontario Association of Architects (OAA).
- PMP certification would be an asset.
- Experience in a transit operating environment
- Previous experience delivering capital infrastructure improvements in an operating environment would be an asset.
- Comprehensive knowledge of current engineering principles and practices combined with a solid understanding of project management principles and practices, including conceptual planning and all phases of design.
- Familiarity with project management information systems and reporting as it relates to control of scope, scheduling and cost.
- Comprehensive knowledge of construction techniques and practices, contract administration, construction inspection, and knowledge of the Construction Act.
- A valid Province of Ontario Class G driver’s license.
