Henderson's Meats is a locally owned meat processing facility serving farmers, businesses, and customers across Eastern Ontario. We are currently seeking a reliable and experienced DZ Driver to join our team on a part-time basis (1 day per week).
Position Overview
This role involves operating our refrigerated truck for carcass and meat deliveries, as well as completing a secondary scheduled waste disposal run to a GFL facility. The successful candidate must be comfortable working around livestock processing operations and maintaining the highest standards of safety, cleanliness, and professionalism.
Responsibilities
- Operate a refrigerated truck for carcass and meat deliveries.
- Complete scheduled animal waste disposal runs to the designated GFL facility.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
- Ensure all loads are secured and transported safely.
- Maintain accurate logbooks and required documentation.
- Follow all company, food safety, transportation, and health & safety procedures.
- Represent Henderson's Meats professionally when interacting with customers and industry partners.
Requirements
✅ Valid Ontario DZ Driver's Licence
✅ Minimum 4 years of commercial DZ driving experience
✅ Clean driver's abstract and CVOR record
✅ Ability to lift and move heavy products when required
✅ Strong understanding of transportation safety regulations
✅ Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently
✅ Comfortable working in an agricultural and meat processing environment
Schedule
- 1 day per week
- Approximately 5–8 hours depending on route requirements
- Weekly schedule
Compensation
- Competitive hourly wage based on experience
- Clean, well-maintained company vehicle provided
Pay: $27.00-$32.00 per hour
