Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented experienced Wire EDM Operator to join our team on day shift Monday to Friday. In this role, you will be responsible for setting up, programming, and operating (Sodick) Wire Electrical Discharge Machining (EDM) equipment to produce precision components. Your expertise in CNC programming, mechanical knowledge, and blueprint reading will ensure high-quality production standards are met efficiently. Responsibilities
- Set up and operate Wire EDM machines, ensuring accurate calibration and alignment for each job
- Program CNC wire EDM equipment using CAD (Computer-Aided Design) files and SolidWorks models to produce precise components
- Programming & Setup: Proficiency in setting up, programming (Mastercam), and troubleshooting Wire EDM units (Sodick).
- Blueprint Reading: Ability to interpret complex technical drawings, schematics, and geometric tolerances.
- Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to determine machining requirements
- Monitor machining processes, making adjustments as needed to maintain quality and efficiency
- Perform routine maintenance on wire EDM machinery, including troubleshooting issues with Fanuc controls and other CNC systems
- Use precision measuring tools such as calipers and micrometers to inspect parts for dimensional accuracy
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols at all times
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years + experience with tool & die, aerospace or precision metal stamping environment
- Proven experience operating Wire EDM machines in a manufacturing environment
- Strong mechanical knowledge and understanding of CNC programming principles
- Proficiency with Fanuc controls and familiarity with CNC lathe and milling machines
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and CAD files effectively
- Basic math skills for calculating dimensions, tolerances, and machine settings
- Experience with machining tools such as hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and calipers
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles to optimize workflow and reduce waste
- Ability to work with assembly processes and use forklift trucks when necessary
- Familiarity with manufacturing safety standards and procedures

Pay: $23.00-$35.00 per hour
