Miller Livestock Partnership is seeking a dependable, organized, and detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to support the day-to-day financial activities of our livestock operation.
This is a hands-on role responsible for processing accounting transactions, maintaining accurate financial and operational records, and supporting the flow of information across the business. Working closely with accounting and operations, you will help ensure transactions are processed accurately, records are current, and deadlines are met.
The livestock industry moves quickly, so we are looking for someone who can manage multiple priorities, adapt when needed, and take pride in getting the details right.

Key Responsibilities
Accounting and Administrative Support
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions accurately and on time.
- Prepare and maintain invoices, payment records, EFT remittances, and supporting documentation.
- Enter transactions related to livestock purchases and sales, feed, freight, veterinary expenses, inventory adjustments, and other operational activities.
- Assist with reconciliations, month-end activities, reporting, audits, and special projects.
- Respond to customer, producer, supplier, and vendor inquiries professionally and promptly.
- Identify discrepancies or missing information and work with the team to resolve them.
Data and Record Management
- Maintain accurate financial, operational, and livestock-related information within company systems.
- Keep financial records, files, and supporting documentation organized and current.
- Support data reviews and reconciliations to ensure information is complete and accurate.
- Maintain records in accordance with company policies and record-retention requirements.
Operations and Team Support
- Work closely with accounting and operations to support the timely flow of information across the business.
- Provide support during peak periods, employee absences, vacations, and other time-sensitive requirements.
- Assist with general administrative needs and special projects as required.
- Contribute to improvements that strengthen accounting and administrative processes.
- Maintain confidentiality and represent Miller Livestock Partnership professionally in all interactions.
What You Bring
- Previous experience in accounting, bookkeeping, administrative support, or a similar role.
- Basic understanding of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general accounting processes.
- Experience with data entry, spreadsheets, financial software, and administrative systems.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills and a professional, collaborative approach.
- Dependable, accountable, and comfortable working both independently and as part of a team.
- Experience in agriculture, livestock, or a related industry is an asset.
