Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Baker to join our production team at The Pastry Box. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in high-volume bakery production, with the ability to consistently produce premium-quality baked goods while meeting daily production targets. You will have excellent knowledge of baking techniques, ingredient handling, and quality control, along with a strong commitment to food safety, consistency, and attention to detail. The successful candidate is reliable, efficient, and takes pride in producing exceptional products in a fast-paced production environment.
Duties
- Prepare and bake a variety of bakery products according to production schedules and company recipes.
- Scale, mix, portion, shape, proof, bake, and finish products while maintaining consistent quality standards.
- Operate bakery equipment safely and efficiently throughout the production process.
- Monitor product quality, ensuring consistency in appearance, texture, and taste.
- Package and label finished products for distribution.
- Maintain a clean and organized production workspace while following all food safety and sanitation standards.
- Accurately measure and handle ingredients to minimize waste and maximize efficiency.
- Assist with inventory rotation and report ingredient or supply shortages.
- Work collaboratively with the production team to meet daily production targets and deadlines.
- Follow all company procedures, recipes, and quality control standards.
Experience
- Minimum of 2–3 years of professional baking experience in a commercial or production bakery.
- Strong knowledge of bread, pastry, and baked goods production techniques.
- Experience working in a high-volume production environment.
- Thorough understanding of food safety, sanitation, and HACCP principles.
- Ability to follow standardized recipes and production schedules with accuracy.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing consistent, high-quality products.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while meeting production deadlines.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently as well as part of a production team.
Work Schedule
- Monday to Friday: 1:30 PM – 10:00 PM
- Occasional Saturday shifts may be required based on production demands and business needs.
- Candidates must be flexible and available to work overtime during peak production periods when required.
