The Work You’ll Be Doing
You’ll be responsible for producing high-quality parts while balancing efficiency, accuracy, and safety.
- Set up and operate CNC lathes and/or mills (Mazak and Haas)
- Review drawings and job requirements to determine efficient machining approaches
- Work with the foreman or manager to prioritize and plan jobs
- Perform in-process and final quality inspections
- Operate supporting equipment such as grinders, saws, deburring tools, heat-treating oven, cranes, forklift, and pallet jack
- Handle materials and maintain a clean, organized workspace
- Follow all safety policies and procedures
Equipment & Technology
- CNC Machines: Mazak & Haas (mills and lathes)
- Controls: Mazatrol experience considered an asset
- CAD/CAM: SolidWorks & Mastercam
What We’re Looking For
- Journeyman Machinist or experienced 3rd or 4th year Apprentice
- Experience operating CNC machines (mills and/or lathes)
- Milling experience is an asset
- Ability to work independently and make sound decisions
- Strong attention to quality, safety, and detail
- Comfortable in a job-shop environment with changing priorities
