Position Overview
The Level 4 position is a senior leadership role responsible for overseeing daily operations, staff performance, dog safety, and facility standards.
This is not an entry-level position. This role is for someone confident, calm under pressure, highly organized, and capable of leading a team while maintaining exceptional care standards.
You will be responsible for both people leadership and operational excellence.
Core Responsibilities: Dog Care & Safety Oversight
- Oversee group play sessions and dog dynamics
- Conduct and approve play assessments
- Make real-time decisions regarding behavior, safety, and health
- Manage specialized care cases (medications, behavioural concerns etc)
- Ensure enrichment standards are implemented consistently
Team Leadership
- Lead shift briefings and daily direction
- Mentor Level 1–3 staff
- Provide performance feedback and coaching
- Ensure policies and procedures are followed consistently
- Address minor conflicts and escalate when appropriate
Operational Oversight
- Oversee shift flow and staffing assignments
- Monitor cleaning and sanitation standards
- Ensure accurate medication administration
- Maintain facility organization and presentation
- Support booking accuracy and kennel logistics
Administrative & Accountability
- Complete incident reports - as directed by management
- Monitor documentation and care notes
- Support training of new hires
- Assist in implementing new systems or process improvements
- Track daily operational efficiency
Qualifications
Required:
- Confident handling dogs of all sizes and temperaments
- Strong understanding of dog behavior and group management
- Leadership experience supervising staff
- Ability to remain calm and decisive under pressure
Preferred:
- Experience managing multi-dog playgroups
- First Aid (human and canine)
- Experience with kennel management software
- Experience administering medications

Pay: $23.25-$25.00 per hour
