- Provide pain management strategies for patients experiencing discomfort.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Educate patients and their families about health conditions, treatment options, and preventive care.
- Utilize electronic health record systems such as Cerner and Epic for documentation and patient management.
- Perform phlebotomy as needed for diagnostic testing.
- Offer specialized care for senior patients, ensuring their unique health requirements are met.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of medical terminology and best practices in nursing.
Skills
- Proficient in pain management techniques and strategies.
- Strong understanding of medical terminology relevant to patient care.
- Experience in acute care settings with a focus on critical health issues.
- Knowledge of senior care practices, particularly in assisted living environments.
- Familiarity with electronic health record systems such as Cerner and Epic is preferred.
- Ability to administer medications safely and effectively.
- Experience working with children is a plus, enhancing the ability to provide comprehensive family-centered care.
- Competence in phlebotomy techniques for blood sample collection.
