We have immediate openings for Online Instructors within our Foundations in Canadian Nursing Certificate Program (FCNC)!
The Foundations in Canadian Nursing Certificate Program (FCNC) has been specifically designed to strengthen the knowledge of people who have been educated as nurses in their home countries and desire to practice in a nursing profession in Canada in the near future. The online delivery 26- week program includes theory courses that involve care of individuals in various developmental stages to be followed by the five fundamental Nursing knowledge- base courses that are essential in every nursing practice.
This certificate program is a pathway to additional education in Canada with Stenberg College’s Post Graduate Diploma in Canadian Nursing. The Post-Graduate Diploma further will further solidify and IEN’s understanding of the nursing profession in Canada and the examinations required to become registered to practice.
October 19th – December 31st
Monday – Friday
3 hours of classroom instruction, plus 1 hour of office hours
There is a full curriculum for each course and a thorough orientation would take place prior to stepping into the clinical environments.
Who You Are:
You are passionate about teaching and sharing your knowledge, skills, and abilities with future nurses
You have current full registration with British Columbia College of Nursing Professionals (BCCNP) as an LPN or RN.
Previous experience teaching and/or studying in an online learning environment, ideally using Moodle as the LMS and Collaborate or Go To Meeting for synchronous teaching/learning sessions would be an asset
You have a demonstrated ability to teach adult learners
Two or more years of full-time Canadian nursing experience as an LPN or RN, with relevant knowledge of the Canadian health care system, the roles and responsibilities of health care team member and current policies and procedures within residential and community care settings.
Experience in working with older adults with complex health needs; and
Experience or orientation in home support and multi-level/complex care
