Team & Culture
DENT is looking for experienced Rock Truck Drivers to join a remote project location. The successful candidate will have a minimum of 2 years experience and be willing to work shift work at a remote site while living in camp. Successful candidates will provide their own transportation to and from site &/or designated marshalling point.
A Rock Truck Operator’s first responsibility is to operate a truck in a safe and effective manner in the transport of loose materials such as sand, gravel, and crushed rock on Forest Service Road of varying grades, to various locations within the project site. Additional project-specific items may require transport from time to time.
Expectations
- Pre-shift check & completion of Mobile Equipment Check List.
- Warm up and fueling prior to start of workday.
- Ensure servicing at scheduled times.
- Keep truck clean inside & out, and free of loose debris.
- Windows, mirrors and lights must be kept clean & free of any items which obscure visibility.
- Maintain operable fire extinguishers, fire tools, shovel & Pulaski on truck.
- Maintain daily logbook on worksites where required.
- Immediately notify supervisor and/or site mechanic of any problems.
- Be familiar with environmental spill response procedures.
- Knowledge and compliance with Provincial safety requirements and follow all site safety requirements.
Qualifications
- 2 years experience in similar role.
- Physically fit and able to access all areas of the truck.
- Class 5 license.
