Position Summary: We are seeking a personable and dynamic Business Development Representative (BDR) to join our team in Winnipeg, MB. This role will focus on generating new business opportunities and managing existing customer relationships to drive sales growth and achieve targets.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent amount of work experience in an industrial sales environment. Chemical knowledge/experience is a bonus.
- Background in chemistry or related field is a strong asset.
- No experience necessary, but selling in an industrial setting is beneficial.
- Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite, to generate reports and presentations.
- Strong knowledge of sales principles, methods, practices, and techniques.
- Proven track record in sales and business development, preferably in a related industry.
- Strong understanding of CRM systems and proficient in managing sales databases.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively manage customer relationships and internal collaborations.
- Ability to travel as required and manage time efficiently to meet all job responsibilities.
- Innovative and strategic thinker with a knack for identifying opportunities and developing new business solutions.
- Ability to quickly pick up new product and service knowledge and communicate that knowledge effectively to customers.
- Demonstrated time management skills and the ability to work independently.
- Proven ability to achieve sales targets.
- Attention to detail.
General Responsibilities:
- Achieve new business sales growth within the Manitoba and Saskatchewan regions.
- Set and hit sales targets through cold calling, warm calling, meetings, and site visits.
- Generate proposals, price quotes, and strategic emails.
- Actively prospect daily.
- Network with industry colleagues and suppliers.
- Utilize CRM to track new business sales progress.
- Report weekly sales activity.
- Participate in industry trade shows and conventions.
- Manage and build relationships with current customers and prospects.
- Stay current on market conditions, technical services, and products by reading pertinent literature.
- Engage in strategic account planning.
- Provide timely technical support for current accounts and prospects.
- Conduct regular service visits and audits for customers.
- Focus 70% on new business development and 30% on account management.
- Up to 50% overnight travel.
Compensation:
- Base salary between $60,000 - $70,000 per year.
- Uncapped commission with a residual commission structure.

- First-year on-target earnings: $75,000 - $85,000.
