Support Price’s sales and profit goals related to Engineer Products and their application on specific projects. Provide technical support to internal and external customers in order to facilitate the project requirements and sale of the relevant products, including guidance on application, performance, troubleshooting, competitiveness, sales and pricing of product and services.
The successful candidate's responsibilities will include:
The primary responsibility of this position is to work closely with customers to understand their challenges and requirements.
The focus will be to improve our sales closure rate using internal resources.
The role will require being the bridge between the customer and relevant product categories and / or shared resources to deliver of customer expectations, including:
Provision of performance data, specifications, literature, etc. to support a sale, support of the bid process, leading customer visits (internal and external), project management from initial contact through final client sign-off.
Initial contact, Application Support, Analysis, Quotation / Bid Support, Submission and Fabrication Support, Installation and Sign-off.
Support and assist Product Managers, Sales Management, and relevant Account Manager with technical input to achieve the sales goals and penetration strategies for the product category or product.
Provide technical design and troubleshooting assistance to Project Teams, Design Engineers and Contractors for projects and product applications.
Support our technical sales group.
Work with Product Teams and Marketing to ensure that literature, presentations, and other collateral is current and convincing.
Understanding of product competitiveness.
Understanding of HVAC Systems and relevant application.
Work with the Lab and Product Team to develop project related test / mock up plans to ensure that requisite data is developed.
Support definition of product and offer guidance on market to all stakeholders.
Provide customer service and be a technical resource for the Customer.
Participate as required in Customer visits whether they are at the PRCN, other Price Facilities or in the field.
Any other duties as required to support the company and the project.
The ideal candidate for this position will have:
A University Degree in Mechanical or equivalent.
Strong interpersonal, communication, organization skills, with an eye for detail.
Process driven, self-motivated and demonstrates the ability to take initiative.
Aptitude and desire for customer service excellence.
A basic understanding of HVAC, controls and mechanical systems would be an asset.
Ability to work both independently and in a team environment to meet timeline-dependent deliverables.
Conversion tracking will be the primary means of evaluating the effectiveness of responses.
Performance vs. sales and GP targets will be the primary means of evaluating the performance of the business unit.
Thoroughness and completeness of responses to customers, as measured by, Sales Product Management and Application Engineering Management.
Acknowledge receipt of all requests, identifying when a response will be sent.
Seek the guidance and help of the Product Team and Other Shared Resources to resolve issues and conflicts.
Provide reasonable and accurate response times based on existing backlog and customer’s needs.
