Airswift Is Hiring: Histology Technician – Preclinical Research
Airswift is looking for a meticulous Histology Technician to join a leading neuroscience CRO in Montreal, QC.
This role offers the opportunity to independently execute the full histology workflow in a fast-paced, high-quality preclinical research environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute end-to-end histology workflow: fixation, processing, embedding, microtomy, cryotomy
- Perform H&E, special stains, IHC, and IF
- Optimize and troubleshoot IHC/IF protocols
- Ensure high-quality tissue processing and sectioning
- Digitize slides and support image analysis
- Maintain accurate documentation in line with SOPs
Requirements
- DEC in Biomedical Laboratory Technology (or equivalent)
- 2+ years of hands-on histology experience (industry required)
- Strong experience with paraffin embedding, microtomy, and H&E staining
- IHC/IF experience preferred
- Detail-oriented with the ability to work independently in a high-throughput lab
- Bilingual (French and English)
