Health Standards Organization (“HSO”) is searching for an interim Director, Health Education Accreditation to support the educational programs who prepare health professionals that share our passion for achieving quality health services for all. As interim Director, Health Education Accreditation, you will lead and manage a team responsible for the operations of the EQual accreditation program. This assessment program is offered to a group of clients that provide healthcare professional education curriculums in educational institutions such as community colleges, institutes of technology, career colleges and universities. You will be responsible for continuing operations as well as building a business plan for market growth of EQual Canada. The interim Director will also liaise with and provide input to the HSO’s assessment program team that has relationships with National Associations and jurisdictional Regulatory Bodies through EQual Program Council. Your experience leading through periods of change will be essential as you are managing new ways of delivering accreditation due to the impacts of COVID-19.

Leading and enabling your team in the delivery of accreditation services through a model of continuous quality improvement.
Playing a critical role in managing a budget and mitigating risk within the program.
Building authentic and enduring relationships with staff, clients (educational institutions), partners, consultative and operational committees; rallying them to contribute to your goals and success.
Being a key player in driving the business plan for market growth in the field of education accreditation.
Staying on top of emerging trends, deepening corporate knowledge of education accreditation and integrating into HSO’s corporate strategy 2023.

You have a unique history. Does it include the education, experience and skills listed below?
Master’s degree in a related field, such as Education, Administration or Healthcare preferred.
Excellent English and French communication is required. Additional language skills are a definite asset.
Demonstrated knowledge and competency to learning systems and continuous quality improvement.
Business Development experience – knowledge in marketing and sales as they relate to the organization’s products, services and strategy.
Tried and tested analytical and critical-thinking skills.
Knowledge of implementation science.
Experience in working in an agile environment and transitions.
Experience managing teams.
Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills including energy and a positive attitude. This is key. You’ll be interacting daily with other team members and external partners.
