Position Overview:
We are seeking reliable and professional security personnel to provide a safe, secure, and welcoming environment at various venues in the Pickering/Durham Region. This role is ideal for individuals who are confident, observant, and experienced in managing public interactions in a high-energy nightlife setting for patrons, entertainers, and staff. The successful candidate will balance strong customer service with effective security enforcement while maintaining professionalism and discretion at all times.
Working in a nightlife setting presents unique challenges and opportunities. Successful candidates will possess strong communication skills, sound judgment, and the ability to remain calm and professional while managing a variety of situations. Security personnel play a key role in ensuring all guests enjoy a safe and positive experience while enforcing venue policies and maintaining order throughout the establishment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Enforcing and Adhering to all AGCO laws and policies relating to beverage alcohol and the service of beverage alcohol
- Monitor and control access to the establishment
- Maintain order and ensure a safe environment for staff and patrons
- Respond to incidents promptly and de-escalate situations as needed
- Conduct routine patrols of the premises
- Work closely with management and staff to enforce policies
- Complete incident reports as required
Requirements:
- Valid Ontario Security Guard License
- Strong communication and conflict resolution skills
- Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure
- Physically capable of standing and moving for extended periods
- Reliable and punctual
