We are seeking a reliable Property Maintenance Technician to support our property management team in the Greater Sudbury area. You will handle daily physical operations, perform minor repairs, and ensure the building remains safe, clean, and functional. You will report directly to the Building Manager.
Key Responsibilities
- Waste Management: Inspect, organize, and move heavy garbage and recycling bins to designated pickup areas weekly.
- Facility Inspections: Conduct routine walkthroughs to check for roof leaks, property damage, and structural hazards.
- Minor Repairs: Fix basic plumbing leaks, patch drywall, paint common areas, and replace light bulbs or fixtures.
- Grounds Upkeep: Maintain clean common spaces, clear minor debris, and assist with seasonal outdoor tasks (e.g., clearing light snow/ice from entrances).
- Emergency Response: Act as a first responder for urgent property issues like leaks or lockouts during scheduled hours.
Qualifications & Skills
- Experience: 1–3 years of experience in general building maintenance, handyperson work, or a related trade.
- Technical Skills: Basic knowledge of carpentry, plumbing, painting, and electrical systems.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, and stand for extended periods.
- Communication: Good verbal communication skills to interact positively with tenants and contractors.
- Requirements: Must possess a valid driver’s license, reliable transportation to travel between local properties, and pass a criminal background check.
