Railtown Café & Catering is looking for a hardworking and reliable Pastry Cook to join our team! You will work alongside talented chefs and staff to foster a fun and friendly environment for our customers.
This is a great opportunity to join a growing company to display your passion and creativity for desserts and pastries. It is early morning shift 4am - 12:30pm Monday to Friday morning position with occasional flexibility when required.
Duties
- Prepare and bake a wide range of pastries, cakes, and desserts according to established recipes.
- Decorate cakes and pastries with artistic flair, ensuring visual appeal.
- Package finished products for display or delivery, maintaining quality standards.
- Collaborate with the team to ensure timely production and service.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen area, adhering to food safety regulations.
- Assist in inventory management by monitoring stock levels of ingredients and supplies.
Experience
- Proven experience in a pastry or baking role within the food industry is essential.
- Strong culinary skills with knowledge of food preparation techniques and baking methods.
- Must be highly motivated with great organizational skills
- Experience in cake decorating is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with food handling practices and food safety regulations.
- Previous experience in catering or restaurant environments is a plus.

Pay: $19.00-$23.00 per hour
