Sonic Enclosures Ltd is a small high horsepower team and are looking for an experienced and motivated Shipper, Receiver and Yard Attendant.
Wage: $25-$30 per hour based on experience and credentials
Job Type: Full Time, 40 hrs per week
Shift hours: Monday to Friday - 8am to 4:30pm

The position of Shipper, Receiver & Yard Attendant includes, but is not limited to:
- Shipping and receiving of incoming and outgoing material i.e. palletized and non-palletized steel, electrical and mechanical parts form various vendors, ship loose material
- Tagging, organizing and storing of incoming material
- Moving of shop, yard and project material via fork lifts
- Completion of incoming material and outgoing enclosure & ship loose documentation i.e. packing lists, tagging, RCP’s, scanning to network
- Yard and shop organization i.e. tidying and organization, garbage / cardboard / wood, chain saw / mitre saw / banding / lumber wrap & boat wrap of material and ship loose
- Assisting our Ops manager, mechanical and electrical teams when needed
- Work outside in inclement weather when necessary
- Assisting in loading enclosures for transport
Essentials Functions For This Role
- Ability to operate standard 5000lb capacity CAT and MITSU fork lifts
- Ability to operate a DC12 Kalmar Fork Lift w/ 30,000lb capacity (not essential, training available)
- Ability to operate overhead crane system (2.5T, 10T, 20T) (not essential, training available)
- Highly organized with attention to detail
- Work with supervisors and foreman for continuous improvements
- Excellent work ethic with the attitude to learn and hone skills
- Maintain a safe, clean and orderly shop, yard and working areas
Experience, Qualifications and Skills Required
- Shipping/receiving experience
- Hold current fork lift ticket
- High school diploma or trades experience
- Able bodied and can lift up to 50lbs
- Computer based skills i.e. Windows, MS Word, MS Excel
- Valid BC drivers license
- Proof of education and certifications
- References and criminal back ground will be checked
