To represent McGraw-Hill Education (MHE) in an assigned territory growing revenue by selling print and digital products that create value for faculty and students. Using a sales framework, the Learning Solutions Consultant (LSC) analyzes customer needs (student, professor, and educational institution), moves sale opportunities through stages in the pipeline and reports results within Sales.com working towards achieving an annual sales goal. Driving toward digital product growth, the LSCs conduct consultative meetings with educators to engage and demonstrate the benefits and outcomes of online learning.

The LSC creates and executes innovative learning solutions that align tightly with a customer centric sales strategy. Working towards a defined annual sales goal and digital activations goal, the LSCs prioritizes cultivating new business to drive sales forward while enhancing relationships with existing customers.

As a senior member of the LSC team, the Sr. LSC is also responsible for helping define strategy for the key initiatives that improve customer experience, working in conjunction with the DOS and the management team to provide feedback from the field that informs decisions. The Sr. LSC will also act as a mentor to reps, helping to optimize the on-boarding time by augmenting the efforts of the DOS

Your contribution to the team will include:
  • Drive revenue growth with an annual sales target by:
  • Meeting and presenting to educators to effectively position MHE products
  • Develop strong understanding of the territory
  • Meet and anticipate customer’s needs
  • Develop and deliver effective presentations
  • Develop and maintain a systematic daily and monthly calling plans
  • Effectively liaise with Marketing, Product Management, and the Product Solutions Development and Support Group to build deep stakeholder relationships and leverage strategic partnerships
  • To acquire maximum knowledge of the Higher Education Division products,
  • Driving digital activations and sales with an annual target
  • Strive for data integrity by reporting daily using Salesforce.com
  • Contribute to regular field reports and forecasting information to the Regional Learning Solutions Manager
  • Identify product & services acquisitions and development opportunities with the help & direction of the Product, Marketing and Sales Management Teams.
What you need to be successful:
  • Responsible for revenue growth, digital activation growth and data integrity.
  • Post-secondary degree/diploma
  • Superior interpersonal and communication skills are essential.
  • Demonstrated passion for and interest in technology–enabled educational solutions.
  • Self-starter with excellent time management and organizational skills is also required.
  • Creative problem-solving ability.
  • Sales experience would be an asset.
  • The ability to excel through change.
  • Microsoft Office Applications Proficiency (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Ability to demonstrate technology enabled solutions is essential.
  • Basic Knowledge of Course Management Systems Desirable (eg. Blackboard, Sakai, D2L)
  • Preference given to those with ability and willingness to relocate.
  • Microsoft Office Applications Proficiency (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Ability to demonstrate technology enabled solutions is essential.
  • Demonstrates the ability to conduct consultative conversations about learning science.
