An Office administrator and Client Service Assistant position is available at the head office of a medical administration company in Bryanston, Johannesburg. This centralised position of Client Service Assistant reporting to the credit control supervisor requires a person with strong business communication skills who is positive, self-motivated and committed to the tasks at hand.

Skills Required

Matriculation Certificate
3+ years’ experience in Medical Practice Administration
Credit Control experience recommended
Familiarity and comfort with customer service support applications
Practice management software (specifically GoodX) experience an advantage
Intermediate in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Business Writing

Key Functions
The Client Service Assistant is required to attend to electronic enquiries on patient’s accounts via:

Prepare and post statements

Daily Tasks

Account queries

Dealing with incoming emails – responses and queries
Attending to SMS enquiries relating to patient’s accounts
Understanding the medical industry and credit control process
– Private patients and Administration Levy
– Medical Aid Submissions and Rejections
– Short Payments
Payment Arrangements

Credit Control Assistant

Sending email contact to Debtor and requesting payment as per credit control process flow
Sending Email contact to Debtor informing him of legal proceedings

Bulk SMS

Sending Bulk SMSes
Dealing with SMS account queries
Follow-up on SMS replies

Monthly Statements

Email and print monthly statements
Prepare statements for posting every month
