Job Summary
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Personal Attendant Caregivers to provide high-quality care and support to disabled individual in their home. The ideal candidate will assist with daily activities, promote independence, and ensure the safety and well-being of the client. This role is vital for enhancing the quality of life for an individual with disabilities, Prior experience in healthcare or caregiving is preferred, but training will be provided for motivated applicants committed to making a positive impact.
Duties
- Assist clients with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
- Provide patient care including medication administration and monitoring health status
- Prepare nutritious meals tailored to dietary needs and assist with feeding when necessary
- Support clients with mobility and heavy lifting to prevent falls and injuries
- Help with light housekeeping tasks like cleaning and laundry to maintain a safe and comfortable environment
- Offer companionship and emotional support to promote mental well-being
- Administer prescribed medications accurately and on schedule
- Assist with transportation to appointments, errands, or social activities
- Follow care plans established by healthcare professionals and document observations appropriately
Qualifications
- Experience in assisted living, nursing home care, hospice care, or home care is highly desirable
- Knowledge of working with individuals with disabilities, and caregiving best practices
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely when required
- Strong communication skills and compassionate demeanor
- Ability to work independently
- Basic understanding of medication administration and patient safety protocols
- Valid driver’s license preferred for transportation duties
- Certification in CPR or first aid is a plus but not mandatory
