Duties
- Assist in preparing ingredients and cooking menu items according to established recipes and standards.
- Support meal preparation by chopping, slicing, and organizing ingredients efficiently.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen workspace, including proper food handling and storage.
- Help with plating dishes to ensure presentation meets quality standards.
- Follow food safety protocols to ensure all meals are prepared in a hygienic environment.
- Collaborate with team members during busy service times to deliver timely and excellent food service.
- Assist in inventory management by monitoring supplies and reporting shortages or issues promptly.
Requirements
- Previous experience in food industry roles such as dietary aide, dietary department, restaurant, or catering is preferred.
- Strong knife skills and knowledge of food preparation techniques are essential.
- Familiarity with food safety regulations and proper food handling practices.
- Experience with menu planning, meal prep, and cooking techniques across various cuisines.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
- Good communication skills to coordinate effectively with team members and support staff.
