Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Front of House Manager to lead our hospitality team and ensure an exceptional guest experience. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive restaurant management background, and a passion for delivering outstanding customer service. This role involves overseeing daily operations, supervising staff, and maintaining high standards of food safety and hospitality in a fast-paced environment. Previous experience in food service, restaurant management, or hotel operations is highly valued.
Responsibilities
- Manage front-of-house operations, including greeting guests, seating arrangements, and ensuring smooth service flow
- Supervise and train staff members in food preparation, serving techniques, and customer service standards
- Oversee food handling, safety protocols, and ensure compliance with health regulations
- Operate POS systems such as Micros POS for order processing and cash handling
- Lead team management activities including interviewing potential staff, scheduling shifts, and performance evaluations
- Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction by addressing guest concerns promptly and professionally
- Coordinate with kitchen staff to ensure timely food delivery and quality standards are met
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the front-of-house area in accordance with safety guidelines
- Assist with inventory management and ordering supplies as needed
Skills
- Proven experience in food industry roles such as restaurant management, hospitality, or hotel operations
- Strong leadership abilities with previous supervising or team management experience
- Excellent customer service skills with a focus on guest satisfaction
- Proficiency in food preparation, cooking, food safety practices, and food handling procedures
- Familiarity with POS systems like Micros POS and cash handling procedures
- Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Effective communication skills for interviewing staff and coordinating team efforts
- Knowledge of restaurant operations including serving, food industry standards, and hospitality best practices
- Experience with kitchen operations or barista work is a plus but not required
